Smile for the camera
A reality programme pilot for the M-Net EDiT competition, a learner-based initiative that provides South African film students production opportunities within the 'real world' television environment, took place this past weekend (27-29 August 2010). B.Tech students from the Department of Film and Drama Studies at the Tshwane University of Technology teamed up with dental surgeon Dr Jurgens Grové to give a local resident from Bryanston a free dental makeover in a reality show, 'Smile'. According to the producer and director, Renske de Klerk, the programme focused especially on the teeth as part of the transformation process.
