Mumbai crisis - open NDTV access on DStv
In light of last week's assaults on the Taj Hotel, Trident Oberoi and Nariman House in Mumbai, India, MultiChoice has made India's 24-hour news channel NDTV, (DStv channel 453) available to all subscribers until Friday, 5 December 2008. Says MultiChoice's GM for content, Aletta Alberts, “[Last] week's tragic events in Mumbai are of global importance and we believe NDTV will provide a unique insight into events as reported by local Indian journalists.”NDTV broadcasts in English 24 hours a day, and targets the global Indian population with news that is credible, factual and current. It is normally broadcast on MultiChoice's North and South Indian bouquet.
