Foodie editors honoured at 2008 Galliova Awards

Abigail Donnelly, Taste food editor, took first place and Barbara Joubert, Sarie and Sarie Kos' food editor, was runner-up in the recent 19th annual Galliova Awards. Sponsored by the South African Egg Industry, the Galliova Awards recognise excellence in food writing, food styling and overall promotion of the South African food culture. The judging process pays special attention to the manner in which the food writers addresses their market and whether the writer is in touch with the lifestyle, needs and tastes of their respective readers. The general appearance of their work, food styling, photography and artwork is also considered. This is Donnelly's fourth Galliova. Download the full list of winners here.
