Metro FM fires Kenny Maistry
Metro FM has fired DJ Kenny Maistry for allowing 10 minutes of dead air on his morning show after telling listeners that the station had not provided enough music for the programme. "Discipline is far more important than talent. I did not want to set a bad precedent," says Metro programmes manager, Leo Manne, "Two weeks ago, it would have never crossed my mind that we would have to fire Kenny. Yet, I am not here to make popular decisions."
