Matric learner wins first Sarie Nuwe Gesig competition
Jonadrie van Aardt, a matric learner at Jan van Riebeeck High School, has won the first Sarie Nuwe Gesig (New Face) competition.
This is the 10th edition of the competition where readers pick a South African woman for Sarie magazine's cover and it featured an extra category for a new face, the Sarie Nuwe Gesig competition, for high school learners from grade 10 to 12 (16 to 18 years old).
Van Aardt will appear on the cover of the smaller version of Sarie magazine and she also wins a year of teenage skincare treatments from the Isa Carstens Academy and a cash prize of R10 000 from Afrikaans.com.
