SABC buys rights to rugby World Cup
The SABC has bought the rights to televise the 2003 and 2007 rugby World Cups. They will screen 24 matches during this year's World Cup in October, including two quarterfinals, one semifinal, the final and the play-off for third and fourth place. There will also be coverage on all 11 SABC radio stations. The last time the public broadcaster had the rights to televise the World Cup was in 1995.
