First female surf mag nosedives
Wahine, the first magazine devoted to women's surfing will be closing its doors after suffering a drop in advertising last year. The Californian based magazine was published quarterly and had a circulation of between 30 000 and 40 000. The dropoff in advertising could have come about due to stiff competition by another women's surf mag, Surfing Girl.
