Submit suggestions on draft radio frequency spectrum regulations

ICASA has published its Draft Radio Frequency Spectrum Regulations in the Government Gazette No. 33590 of 29 September 2010 and is calling for written submissions on the proposals. The closing date is 4pm Friday 19 November 2010. The Authority intends to hold public hearings 1-2 December 2010. Some proposal include a framework to allocate and assign radio frequency spectrum; establish standard terms and conditions for frequency bands, applications and licences; establish fair, transparent and efficient processes and procedures.
