EU to become SA traveller destination of choice, if visa-free option becomes a reality
The South African department of home affairs indicated that there is a possibility for South Africans to travel to the EU without a visa. According to Cheapflights.co.za, this means that more South Africans will be opting to travel to countries in the EU as opposed to the UK which is currently their long haul travel country of choice.
Cheapflights says that if the visa-free travel to the EU becomes a reality, those countries will offer a cheaper and easier travel option for South Africans as the rand will go further than it will against the pound and they will not need a transit visa as they do when travelling via the UK.
