The Tourism Conservation Fund launch
The Peace Parks Foundation and Southern African Tourism Services Association (Satsa) launched its Tourism Conservation Fund (TCF) in Cape Town and Johannesburg recently. The joint venture aims to secure South Africa's biodiversity through the development of commercial linkages between the country's high-value wildlife reserves and communities historically excluded from sharing in their value.
TCF was founded by the Peace Parks Foundation and Southern African Tourism Services Association (Satsa).
Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom and department of environmental affairs director-general Nosipho Jezile-Ngcaba were in attendance at the launch.
