A feast of Voorkamer culture!

Now in its sixth year, the event is aimed at supporting local and international artists, actors and crafters of all languages and genres. Visitors are minibussed to different homes in Darling to watch performances in people's parlours (voorkamers). They never know which artists they will be seeing, which keeps the element of surprise going, while they are also hosted in homes in the local township to historic Cape Dutch mansions, thereby getting a truly unique South African cultural experience.
OATS chose the Voorkamerfest for their clients due to the synergy with the kykNET brand (Channel 111) and threw in an extra cultural excursion in the form of wine tasting at the famous Groote Post vineyards.
The 18th century farm is situated in the Darling Hills with the winery in the valley near the Klawer River. A range of Groote Post's top wines was sampled in the beautiful setting, before everyone tumbled into the minibus again to take in the next surprise show.
