Alphabet Soup launches Vega bursary
Only part-time students will qualify for consideration. According to Alphabet Soup MD, Nikki Baillie, the type of student who will qualify must be passionate about media, showing a positive, creative attitude towards their long-term career objectives. "An understanding of business principles, a media brief and objectives is imperative."
She says to be considered for the bursary, the student must be able to deliver a practical media strategy, based on return on investment through implementation of feasible ideas.
Semester marks will impact bursary allocation. Students must achieve 65% or more for their individual document and over 50% for the course exam.
The annual bursary, which will be awarded in August, is based on the cost of the media course. Each year the winning student can either put the money towards further studies at Vega or will receive a cheque to the value of the Vega Media Course.
Baillie concludes, "We thank our clients and media owners who attended the Alphabet Soup 2003 Golf Day for their contributions to raising the required funds for the Alphabet Soup bursary."
