Mediatech draws bigger crowds
Says Carl Woodland, chief operating officer for Oasys Exhibitions: “This event has become a popular platform for the publishing and electronic information sector to exhibit their products and demonstrate their expertise.” The exhibition showcased products and services from the broadcast, media, entertainment and AV industries and also offered a variety of training sessions, special presentations, live sound demos as well as networking opportunities to visitors and exhibitors. This year two new categories were added to the list of media technology categories on display, namely computer music and production tools and musical instruments.
“As a consequence of the evolution of online information and growth in alternative media choices such as trends in social media, interest in the Media Tech exhibition has grown considerably and therefore had to be staged at a bigger venue. Exhibitions are drawing greater public interest due to the wealth of information provided by exhibitors,” says Woodland.
Oasys Innovations supplied the electrical infrastructure and furniture for the exhibition as well as a total of 2367m2 in carpeting and 783m2 in shell schemes. They also built seven of the designer stands for Yamaha, AJ Niemeyer Design, Inala Technologies, Visual Impact, Shoal Creek Investments, Thebe Wall and the Oasys AV Open Day Marquee.
