The new seasonal Cape Town – Hong Kong service, the first direct link between the two destinations, boosts South Africa’s accessibility and complements Cathay Pacific’s existing daily non-stop flights between Johannesburg and Hong Kong.

Cathay Pacific regional general manager for South Asia, the Middle East and Africa, Mark Sutch, said: “The introduction of our new seasonal Cape Town service increases our connectivity to and from Africa and creates exciting new opportunities for both the Western Cape and our home city of Hong Kong.”

Sutch added that the new service will also boost travel to other destinations on Cathay Pacific’s network, as it provides connections from South Africa to popular destinations like Bangkok, Denpasar (Bali), Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo, via its Hong Kong hub.

The seasonal Cape Town – Hong Kong service will run one outgoing and one incoming flight per day, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, between 14 November 2018 and 17 February 2019.
