The Real Juice Co sold to Clover SA
The Real Juice Co (RJC) has been sold to Clover South Africa by AVI Limited for R60 million. Currently RJC is a leading producer of fresh fruit juices, nectars and concentrates sold under the Quali and Real Juice brands in the Eastern, Western and Northern Cape.
The transaction is subject to the approval of the South African Competition Authorities and will become effective on the first day of the month, following the month in which such approval has been received.
Johann Vorster, Clover's chief executive, commented, "This acquisition is in line with our strategy to take advantage of our low gearing and strong cash generation to expand the group's portfolio of value added and branded beverages products.
"RJC enjoys strong brand recognition in the Cape region and we believe that efficiencies can be unlocked through the group's extensive sales and distribution network."
