New awards
"The local awards are run in conjunction with the international Marie Claire Prix d'Excellence de la Beauté, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year," says Aspasia Karras, editor of Marie Claire. "In a quarter of a century these beauty awards have become a global reference point in the beauty universe and there is no difference in South Africa as they are the most anticipated and coveted beauty awards.
"I want to thank Edgars which partnered us for the third consecutive year of these awards - it is a perfect fit with the widest selection of beauty products and great store footprint," concludes Karras.
Another award was added to this year's competition, the Edgars Award for Retail Innovation, was awarded to Bobbi Brown for its innovative use of retail space and the creative way in which it approaches customer interaction, product presentation and marketing.
