Acer chairman to head Global Strategy Office

Assuming the role of corporate chief strategy officer, Huang will focus on seeking new business investment opportunities for the company's long-term direction and sustainability. In addition, he will oversee its business strategies across the organisation by building on its existing foundations of the PC, tablet, smartphone and other hardware products connected within Acer's BYOC (Build Your Own Cloud) ecosystem.

With Huang's wealth of experience across industries and as one of the company co-founders, he was officially appointed Chairman on 18 June 2014.
