Loeries Creative Week

[Loeries 2015] Agency expectations with... Hellocomputer

In our feature running until Loeries Creative Week in Durban this August (yes, August, not September and Durban, not Cape Town!), we find out what Hellocomputer's Executive Creative Director, Simon Spreckley, expects...

1. What's your official job title and how long have you been at the agency?

Spreckley: Executive Creative Director, 9.5 years.

2. How long has your agency been attending the Loeries?

Spreckley: We've been attending for the last 10 years.

3. What's your biggest Loeries highlight of years past?

Spreckley: It would have to be the Grand Prix we won for the Musica Flow Browser in 2011.

4. What are you most looking forward to from Loeries Creative Week 2015, set to hit Durban in August?

Spreckley: For one, I think having the Loeries in Durbs will make for a nice shift in energy and atmosphere. And the opportunity to get away with my team and celebrate our hard work will be much deserved. Hopefully our efforts will convert into some pretty birdies.

5. Tell us some of your own agency work you're entering this year!

Spreckley: We'll be entering Social Feed, which we have high hopes for as we believe it's an idea that re-invents paid media and the way we consume content and use social channels... Along with some other top secret contenders!

6. Who do you predict will win big this year, and why?

Spreckley: I think we'll probably see the likes of King James doing well this year for their Sanlam One Rand Man and Johnny Walker Meet Your Match campaigns. Both these campaigns showcase ideas that transcend mediums and are effective across multiple channels, led through digital.

Lots to look forward to, it seems. For more on what to expect from this year's Loeries' Creative Week, visit the official Loeries website or our special Loeries Creative Week section.
