Vuyokazi Mhlophe is the new Brand Activation and Marketing Manager at Gagasi FM

Despite having a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting, Vuyokazi chose to follow her passion for marketing. She started her career at South African Breweries where she was appointed as brand development representative and, then, market development representative shortly afterwards. She was then snapped up by Unilever, where she worked as customer marketing assistant manager and was awarded the Ace, Gem and Oscar awards for her excellent work ethic. She then grasped an opportunity at Kinky Hair where she was appointed marketing manager before moving on to Brandhouse Beverages as a brand manager for Johnnie Walker South Africa.

Her life is inspired by one of Nelson Mandela's quotes: "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall". That said, her dream for the future is to be "an inspiration to disadvantaged youths who are ambitious and driven to their dreams."

When Vuyokazi is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, going to music shows, attending theatre productions, eating out, reading and going to movies.
