BET Software spreads festive cheer through its annual bucket drive

At the Team’s first stop, elderly community members welcomed the buckets, saying the food items would make a tangible difference.
“The food will help because I am a pensioner. Your visit here, today, means a great deal,” said Ntombifuthi Mcanyana, one of the bucket beneficiaries.
At the second stop, displaced families living at Mbalenhle Community Hall, as a result of the floods earlier this year, expressed how glad they were that they hadn’t been forgotten, especially at this time of the year.
“The floods left us homeless, and we have been struggling, especially with food. These groceries have given us some dignity,” said Nelisa Nkasa, another bucket beneficiary.
BET Software’s General Manager, Michael Collins, said, “At BET Software, we put our hands up to be part of the solution. And because we believe that teamwork makes the dream work, contributing to the wellbeing of communities is part of our mandate. We trust that the buckets, and the BET Software Team’s visit to Umlazi, show our commitment to those in need of assistance.”
