Carlson Rezidor Hotel appoints new regional sales director
The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Liezl Meier as the group's regional director of sales for Southern Africa. Meier, who has over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, will be based in Johannesburg.
"Liezl will have an instrumental role to play in leading the region's sales team and will be responsible for driving maximum spend from sales accounts in key segments while pushing new business opportunities for the group's properties which include all Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson hotels across Southern Africa," says Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group regional director for sub-Saharan Africa, Han Oldenburger.
Meier joins the hotel group corporate office sales team from her most recent position as strategic alliance and business development manager at extrabold Hotel Management. Other previous positions include sales manager at The Rosebank Hotel and sales manager at the InterContinental Sandton Sun & Towers.
