Singing for life

Levi Strauss South Africa and Sony BMG Music Entertainment have brought together 14 SA top music artists to produce a unique CD in an initiative to raise awareness and funds for HIV/AIDS - an extension of their 'Red for Life' campaign in partnership with the TAC.

Confirmed artists include Springbok Nude Girls, MXO, local Cape Hip Hop girl trio Godessa, Malaika, Flat Stanley, Fokofpolisiekar, Prime Circle, Mafikizolo and a solo experience from Chris Chameleon of Boo fame, Louise Carver, Loyiso, Kobus!, 340ml and Karen Zoid.

MD for Levi Strauss South Africa Mike Joubert says: "The Levi's brand has always been behind original South African music so it makes sense to use our best musical talent to bring a message to the youth that can make the difference between life and death."

'Red for Life' is a programme initiated by Levi Strauss South Africa as part of its commitment to fighting HIV & AIDS and to raise awareness and funds for the education and treatment of people living with AIDS. Funds raised through the activities will benefit the TAC and people living with AIDS.

CD4 is retailing at R109.00 and will be available in Musica stores from May 2.
