With the ability to "like" and "share" products, shoppers can harness the power of the social web to communicate their favourites with all their friends and family. Quirk, recently named as South Africa's 'Best Digital Marketing Agency' at the industry's Bookmarks awards, has developed the browser - creating an interactive and fun experience that will change the way people shop.
F-commerce forms part of its ongoing 3-year plan to make shopping even more convenient. The first step took place in July last year with the launch of the improved Woolworths website. "This was just the beginning. F-commerce is the next step and there will be much more," says Nikki Cockcroft, head of Online. "In the future, we will be enhancing this development to include food. In addition, we will be launching our online shopping offering across multiple platforms including mobile and other devices to offer our customers a convenient, hassle-free and of course, pleasant shopping experience, no matter where they are."
"In the past year, brand marketing on Facebook has grown tremendously locally, making F-commerce the logical next step," states Quirk chief technology officer, Craig Raw. It was a privilege to assist the Woolworths team in delivering another South African first."
