New magazine from Edcon

The new Legit mag, a fashion-intensive publication that is designed to speak to stylish young women, will be distributed quarterly to 100 000 dynamic, frequent Legit shoppers. This new title, launched by Edcon Discount Division, joins the stable of custom magazines produced by The Publishing Partnership (TPP) for Edcon.

The targeting of the publication together with its reach is claimed to provide advertisers with an inside track to an increasingly important market segment. According to recent AMPS results the 16-24 age group is the biggest consumer of magazines in the country (The Media, July 2009, SAARF AMPS)

Says Ocean Ngobeni, Legit's brand manager, “Legit mag readers are young women aged between 18 and 23, aware, stylish, and frequent fashion shoppers at Legit. They're looking for fashion inspiration as well as cues and advice from opinion leaders that will keep them ‘in the mix' and ahead of trends.”

“The new magazine's content has been carefully structured to meet these demands, ensuring that our readers remain in the vanguard of vogue. Readers can expect fashion forecasts, a fashion feature story, shopper pages, beauty, fashion director's choice, what celebs are wearing, and much more.”

“With the launch of the mag we have now extended the brand's fashion chat which is already taking place across multiple platforms including our website (www.legit.co.za), mobi site (LegitFashion.mobi), email newsletter and Facebook fan page (www.Facebook.com/LegitFashion)”, says Tammy Gardner, the magazine's publisher.
