The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has also announced its candidates for the United Nations Special Award and the Grand Prix winner, which will be named during the prize presentations at a gala event in Istanbul on Friday 21 October 2011.

The chair of the international jury Dr Zehra Gungor, IPRA board member from Turkey, commented that the number and quality of entries demonstrated that even in these tough economic times, public relations is responding to the twin challenges of providing added value creativity within a limited budget.

Entries this year came from fifty countries, which demonstrates both the spread of public relations and how professional the practice has become throughout the world. The challenge they presented to the jury - drawn from 29 countries - is one IPRA hopes to repeat next year.
