The missing link in SA’s climate agenda: Food loss and waste

Well, apparently there is no need to be hung over or miss out on your full party schedule. Jiguja, the leading drink for hangovers, is claimed to minimise those after-effects of an alcohol binge… the ones we all hate and make us promise to never touch another drop… then the next invitation arrives…
Also known as the “drink to drink when you drink”, this product can be enjoyed before, during and after a night out where alcohol is a main ingredient in the evening's enjoyment. Best known for its babalas-beating efficiency, this drink is claimed to be a versatile beverage that adds zest to cocktails, and can be sipped on its own.
Its slightly fermented apple taste has drawn a huge customer base. As a non-carbonated drink, free of artificial colourants or flavouring and caffeine, this drink is fast becoming a popular contender in the health drink market as well.
The active ingredient – an extract of the Korean Raisin Tree - has been used by Eastern cultures for centuries to improve well-being before, during and after alcohol consumption.
It retails at just below R20 per can and is available from most garage forecourt shops, and selected liquor, Spar, Friendly Grocer and Seven Eleven stores. A can or two in your fridge is highly recommended if you have a hectic party schedule planned.
Having said all that: drink responsibly, and DO NOT drink and drive… you may find yourself getting over your hangover in a small room with bars – of the very worst sort.
