Ravi Naidoo to receive 2015 Sir Misha Black Medal

The Sir Misha Black Awards ceremony will be held in the Royal College of Art, London on Thursday, 8 October 2015 at 4pm, where Naidoo will deliver an address on his philosophy of design as a catalyst for job creation and economic growth and design as a driving force for change in business, manufacturing, government and educational bodies.

Naidoo founded Design Indaba in 1995 to attract leading lights from the global design world to South Africa. He has not only imported great ideas but has also brought international attention to South African talent.

He is the Founder and Managing Director of Interactive Africa, a Cape Town-based company that combines logistic prowess and creative production to work on projects that promote South Africa. He was also the catalyst behind Woolworths and Western Cape Government of Education creating a design syllabus at the school level.
