Clio Design jury announced

NEW YORK: The remaining members for the 2007 Design jury at the 48th annual international Clio Awards were announced earlier this week. The Clio Design jury, chaired by Peet Pienaar, creative director of Cape Town-based Daddy Buy Me a Pony, is responsible for evaluating award entries encompassing all aspects of brand identity, from brochures to corporate identities, package design to self-promotion and environmental design.

The awards will be presented at the Clio Festival, 9-13 May 2007, in Miami Beach, Florida.

The remaining jury members are :

  • Bobby C. Martin, Jr., design director, Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York, NY, US
  • Ji Lee, art director, Droga5, New York, NY, US
  • Emma Presler, senior designer, New Media Group, ESPN, Inc., New York, NY, US
  • David Israel, executive creative director, Desgrippse Gobé, New York, NY, US

“Design is one of the most challenging Clio categories because the winning work must find ways to effectively convey a brand concept across a variety of media platforms,” says Tony Gulisano, MD, Clio Awards.

“The diverse background and experience of our prominent Design jury members reflects the entire design spectrum, and this makes them ideally suited to judge creative excellence in the category.”
