How the media used tech to cover the #CapefireThe fires that devastated large areas of the Cape Peninsula last week were covered extensively. Now, Stuart Thomas reports on the drones, maps and social networks SA's tech-savvy media used to report on the #CapeFire. Moving to fires that rage internally, Tiffany Markman is amazed by the fact that when it comes to business writing unless you are ready for a whole world of drama, you can't really say what you mean or say what you want to say. So she's come up with some sanitised wording that in other words allow you to engage with clients without any drama. Next, Leigh Andrews has a message - from her, TuYu - and it takes just one click to tick, giving you a better way to incentivise staff without the annual 'good work' certificate, impersonal 'thumbs up' icon or 'smiley face' tacked to a message. And to end with more food for thought, Nola Bond has some useful advice on protecting IP in campaign tendering. Comment online in our ed's column archive. Go mobile with apps and m.bizcommunity.com.
