The Impala group of companies, Goodyear's on-site waste management supplier, has just achieved ISO 14001 accreditation, one of just a handful of locally based organisations to achieve the prestigious accreditation. Since taking over Goodyear's waste management two years ago, Khangela Hygiene and Industrial Services and the Waste Trade Company, both of the Impala Group, have reduced Goodyear's non-recyclable waste by 85%.
South Africans are more likely to get completely lost in Johannesburg, than in any other city in the world. That's according to the findings from one of the largest navigation studies to date, conducted by Nokia in 13 countries around the world including South Africa.
