I started my professional career as a registered general nurse and midwife. I obtained a BA (Cur) degree with Community Health and Education as majors. On completion of my degree I specialized in Reproductive Health services focusing in Mother and Child Health, Communicable Diseases Management including HIV/AIDS education and counseling.
As a mentor to student nurses, colleagues and clinicians in community-based health issues, I developed passion for training and developing people. I established a training and development centre and the experience I gained during this time honed my managerial, consuting, training and facilitation skills.
My involvement in HIV/AIDS in the health sector effected my involvement in HIV and AIDS interventions in the workplace where I conducted HIV/AIDS awareness sessions, HCT peer educator and management training and coaching.
