Mandi holds an MSc in Nutrition and Neuroscience from the University of the Witwatersrand, and published numerous clinical papers from her research. Thereafter, Fine moved into the field of healthcare communication. She lived and worked in New York and serviced large multinational pharmaceutical companies.
On returning to South Africa, Mandi started Fine Healthcare and was responsible for launching many iconic brands like Viagra, Celebrex and Concerta. Mandi consults to clients in emerging African and Middle Eastern countries.
Mandi is passionate about health information, education and behaviour change. She sits on the board of Soweto-based NGO, Ikageng Itireleng, which supports over 2,000 HIV positive and orphaned and vulnerable children. Mandi is recognized for being a founder of the inner city of Johannesburg's redevelopment initiatives and is most proud of being the mother of two teenage sons.
