I am a seasoned Labour Law Practitioner with a lot of CCMA, Bargaining Council and Labour Court experience.

I have also completed the Law Society of South Africa's School for Legal Practice and have successfully completed the Attorneys admission exam, although I chose not to be admitted as an attorney. I have however been admitted to practice as an advocate in the High Court of South Africa. I am in possession of a valid Code 08 driver's license and am computer literate as can be seen on my C.V. Certified copies of all documents will be provided on request.
I held the position of Industrial Relations Manager for the Aplitec Group (Net-1 Support Services (Pty) Ltd, Cash Paymaster Services (Pty) Ltd) for a period of five years. The Company consisted of a number of 2100 employees in five different subsidiaries. I have vast experience in all processes at the CCMA and I have appeared before the Commission and different Bargaining Councils al over South Africa.
I am currently employed as a Legal Officer at the UASA Trade Union where I am involved in all aspects of the Labour Relations Act pertaining to disputes. I am mainly responsible to represent employees at the Labour Court, arbitration and disciplinary proceedings. I have been exposed to a multi-unionised environment since 1989 and have experience in the Finance, Micro-lending, Security, Transport and other industries.
Some of the Labour Court disputes where I was involved in, have been published or is in the process of being published, in Labour Law Reports, for example Datt V Gunnebo Industries (Pty) Ltd (2009) 30 ILJ 2429 (LC) and King v Douglasdale Dairy (Pty) Ltd JS69/07 dated 7 January 2009, with the most recent being Smith v Capitol Hill Investments (Pty) Ltd, case number JS690/06, yet unreported.
I am a dynamic, efficient and competent person with managerial experience and posses good communication skills. I am used to travel all over South Africa to attend disciplinary hearings, arbitrations and Labour Court disputes. I am also used to work overtime as I handle a lot of Labour Court matters with deadlines, which need to be managed in terms of the Labour Court Rules.
