I am a highly qualified marketing, brand and communications professional with a solid fifteen years plus experience in communications, marketing and brand management in the luxury retail, training, finance and ICT sectors. I have good global experience.
I have been contracting since 2011 but am looking for a position, ideally permanent, which is both a challenge and a career in which I can build on and utilise my broad spectrum of marketing and communications management experience.
From January 2013 - March 2014, I consulted/contracted to the Virgin Global Brand Team on Global and National Communications and Brand Projects in the Virgin Group. I am doing some freelance work and consulting while looking for a permanent position. Prior to my work with the Virgin Group, I completed a fixed term contract at Old Mutual as a Communications Manager for the IT division, with particular focus on change communications and communications for their global infrastructure transformation projects. Previous roles have included consulting and facilitating courses in marketing, communications and customer relationship management and Communications Manager for T-Systems South Africa, South Africa's biggest ICT outsourcer specialising in the finance and insurance industries. I also held the positions for Marketing and Communications Manager for DaimlerChrysler (Mercedes-Benz) South Africa and Honda South Africa in the Western Cape, and therefore have excellent experience in marketing and communications management in the luxury retail sector. I lived in London for three years from 1998-2000, where I was fortunate to gain some excellent international experience working at a very high global level.
I have a degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and Personnel Management.
