New account manager at MBP

Michelle Barnard has been appointed as Account Manager at the Cape Town head office of Marcus Brewster Publicity (MBP). Barnard will head the firm's commercial practice area engaged by MBP's consumer and lifestyle clients.

Barnard spent five years gaining consultancy experience on accounts including Virgin Active, Cape Town Fashion Week, Brandhouse and KWV, before co-founding a boutique PR agency earlier this year. She has a degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Stellenbosch.

Commenting on the appointment, MBP chairman Marcus Brewster said: “Barnard is a great fit with our mantra of ‘Best Staff, Best Clients, Best Brands' and brings demonstrable experience to the agency in terms of the optimal skill set of strategic planning, brand reputation management, client service, writing ability and media liaison finesse”.

Barnard joins the agency this month.
