SABC2 live screening, SABC choir for American inauguration

SABC2 will also broadcast live the much-anticipated inauguration of America's next president, Barack Obama, in Washington tomorrow, Tuesday, 20 January 2009, 6pm - 8.30pm. The live crossing will be co-hosted by Tsepiso Makwetla and Tim Modise. A panel of analysts will join them in studio to discuss this momentous occasion which president-elect Barack Obama built around the slogan “change”. Meanwhile, the SABC Choir will perform at the African Celebration of the inauguration at Montecasino, Fourways, Johannesburg, tomorrow, organised by the State of Illinois Africa Office of Trade and Investment. “For the SABC, this is a wonderful opportunity not only to showcase our world-class choir, but also to share in a historic moment, as president-elect Obama is crowned the first black president of the United States," comments Joyce Dube, SABC CSI projects manager/SABC Choir marketing manager.
