Hiking, cycling routes reopened at Harkerville
The South African National Parks has reopened some of the day hiking and cycling routes at the Knysna section of the Garden Route National Park following assessments at the Harkerville area of the forest. All of the cycling trails at Harkerville, excluding the red route, have been made accessible to the public and while day trails have also been reopened, the Harkerville Coastal trail and the Kranshoek viewpoint will remain closed.
The Perdekop Trail has been readied for the FNB Forest Family Hike event, which forms part the Oyster Festival, and routes on the Petrus se Brand were also opened in preparation for the upcoming Pick n Pay Cycling Tour.
