MPowerFM DJ competing in Miss SA

MPowerFM afternoon drive co-host Buyi Shongwe is in the final stages of preparation for next week's Miss South Africa. Amid all the excitement , Shongwe says she is ready for the big night: “Broadcasting on MPowerFM this past year has given me the confidence to pursue my dream of being crowned Miss South Africa. This is an honour I would dearly love to bring to Mpumalanga.” According to MPowerFM GM Bondo Ntuli, the station is fully supportive of Shongwe. “It is a huge privilege for us and our listeners, and as a radio station we will be cheering for her all the way come 15 December,” he says. The pageant will be held at Sun City on Monday, 15 December 2008 and will be broadcast live on SABC2 from 7pm.
