The Tasting Room hailed as one of South Africa's finest restaurants

The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Français, has been recognised as one of South Africa's finest restaurants. The 2015 Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards, hailed as the "Foodie Oscars", pays tribute to the country's top restaurants and chefs and celebrates the burgeoning culinary industry in South Africa. This is the 14th year The Tasting Room has featured in the Top 10, making it the most awarded restaurant in the history of this competition.

Executive chef Margot Janse joined Le Quartier Français, recently acquired by Leeu Collection, twenty years ago in 1995. Her food philosophy ensures that Margot's kitchen consistently develops exceptional and engaging menus. This latest award reaffirms the reputation of both Margot Janse and her team.

The Tasting Room also clinched a coveted Service Excellence Award for the second time. Morné Wessels, manager at The Tasting Room said "The team at The Tasting Room is an amazing team to be part of. This achievement was made possible because of the sincere passion of the staff and chefs."
