Allandale nightmare over, access to Midrand's venues

Finally, after three years, the Allandale interchange on the N1 was reopened on 23 June 2011. The interchange is expected to ease congestion between Johannesburg and Pretoria, as well as the east and west feeder roads, thus making the trip to Gallagher Convention Centre and other Midrand venues more convenient. According to Adolf Venter, Gallagher Convention Centre CEO, "The feedback by organisers, delegates and visitors in general since the opening of the interchange has been very positive and early indications are that the ease of access will contribute towards bumper events going forward."
