Julie Powell to speak at first Toffie Food Festival

Toffie, which hosts the annual Toffie Pop Culture Festival, is holding its first Toffie Food Festival and Conference, 3-4 September 2011 at the Cape Town City Hall. Apart from food delights, international and local food experts will include Julie Powell, the food blogger on whose life the movie 'Julie and Julia' was based. She will talk about her experiences as an intern with a Buenos Aries butcher, while writing her second book, Cleaving: A Story of Marriage, Meat and Obsession.
