Cleo names first bachelor of the year
Jeremy Veasey was named Cleo magazine's bachelor of the year at the awards ceremony at Movida on Saturday, 13 September 2008. This first-time event in South Africa follows the success of Cleo Australia's bachelor of the year competition, now in its 21st year, and winners walked away with prizes including Suzuki bikes, X-Boxes, cameras and i-Pods. Veasey, a student and model from Durban, impressed judges with his good looks, wit, charisma and his "boy-next-door" personality. In second place was Stephen Friedman, pro surfer and model, followed by Tshepo "Howzer" Mosese, actor, musician and presenter, in third place.
