GTIP third window applications to start in September
The third window application period for the Green Tourism Incentive Programme (GTIP) will run from 1 September-30 November 2018. The Department of Tourism, along with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the National Cleaner Production Centre of South Africa (NCPC-SA), launched the GTIP in an effort to encourage small and micro tourism enterprises to adopt cleaner and more energy-efficient operations.
The department recently expanded the programme focus to include water efficiency given the impact of persistent drought conditions in some parts of the country.
