Swiss International Air Lines sees passenger growth first half of the year
Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss) has transported 8,520,186 passengers for the first six months of 2018, which is a 5.9% increase in comparison to the same period in 2017. The airline also operated 69,932 flights for 2018's first half, which is a 1.2% increase in comparison to 2017's first half.
Furthermore, systemwide passenger capacity raised by 3.9% in available seat-kilometre terms and total traffic volume improved by 5.1%.
The systemwide seat load factor also rose accordingly to 81.5%, an increase of 0.9 percentage points. The systemwide June seat load factor of 87.1% was a 2.3-percentage-point improvement on the prior-year period.
