Cape Point receives one millionth visitor for 2016

The Cape of Good Hope or Cape Point exceeded all former visitor record numbers when it received its one millionth visitor for 2016 on 7 December. Tsopane Machake from Polokwane, Limpopo visited the site with his family and simply for being the one millionth visitor, the South African National Parks and Cape Town Partnership rewarded him with a hamper.

Situated within the Table Mountain National Park, Cape Point is considered a popular tourist attraction and its offerings include the Flying Dutchman funicular, the Two Oceans Restaurant, the food shop and three retail shops.
