Golden Gate scoops top SANParks awards
The Northern Region of the South African National Parks (SANParks) held its annual awards function at the Golden Gate Highlands National Park Hotel on 20 June. The three national parks in the region - Golden Gate, Mapungubwe, and Marakele - compete aggressively for the awards, which are presented to individuals and business units.
With Golden Gate's new acting management team, Golden Gate scooped all the major awards. The Leadership Award was presented to Victor Mokoena, acting park manager, and the Constituency Builder of the Year and Park of the Year awards were both won by Golden Gate.
Golden Gate Highlands National Park is a member of the N3 Gateway Tourism Association and Victor Mokoena is the association's vice-chairman.
