Shoprite's Act for Change card to ease economic pressures for NGOs
In light of the current economic climate, Shoprite has introduced the Act For Change buying card in an effort to assist welfare organisations. The card will give NPOs a 5% discount across outlets from the Shoprite Group and they will have 30 days to pay with no interest.
NPO donors will also be able to pay donations directly into the card to ensure their money is spent only on items that can be bought from Shoprite subsidiaries. The application process is only open to registered NPOs. Outlets, where the card can be used, include Shoprite, Checkers, Checkers Hyper, Usave, House & Home, MediRite, and OK Furniture.
