The Mercury celebrates 150 years
To celebrate its 150th anniversary on Monday 25 November, KwaZulu-Natal's premier morning newspaper, The Mercury, published a 32 page supplement featuring the history of the paper as a prelude to a full week of celebrations involving staff, advertiser and reader fun, participation and competitions. Page one of the supplement was a reproduction of the original page one from The Mercury of Thursday, 25 November, 1852.
