Catholic Bishops to counter condom campaign with billboards

The SA Catholic Bishops Conference has criticised a group of dissident Catholics that launched an advertising campaign to pressure the Vatican into changing its policy on condoms. Bishop Cawcutt, the Conference spokesman, says the church disapproves of the wholesale distribution of condoms to teenagers to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS, and that the conference will erect billboards on the N1 in Cape Town and the M2 highway in Johannesburg to communicate their disapproval.
