Comic Con Africa goes TikTok
As part of its digital media partnership with TikTok, Comic Con Africa launched an official account on the short video platform. From 6 to 12 September 2019, TikTok challenged fans to create transformation videos based on #MyCharacter ahead of Comic Con.
A transformation video is when a content creator flips instantly between one look to another using a fun mechanic such as a snap of the fingers, or any other way their imaginations could dream up.
A total of 10 winners were awarded two weekend passes to Comic Con Africa. Comic Con Africa will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg from 21 to 24 September 2019.
